How to Reach Kalymn

Kalymnos is located in the Dodecanese, in the southeastern Aegean Sea. Although the island has its own airport, the most common and fastest way to reach Kalymnos is through Kos Island, followed by a short ferry ride. Below you will find all available travel options, tips and updated routes.

✈️ 1. Via Kos Island (The Fastest & Easiest Route)

This is the recommended route for almost all international visitors.

Step 1 — Fly to Kos International Airport (KGS)

Kos has direct flights from:

• Thessaloniki (seasonal)

Step 2 — Transfer to Mastichari Port

Distance: 10 km
Time: 15–25 minutes

Step 3 — Ferry from Mastichari to Kalymnos

Duration: 20–30 minutes
Ferries operate daily, with increased frequency in summer.

Although less common, Kalymnos is connected directly by ferry to:
